Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy explains how Steadings Holiday Park (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit steadingspark.co.uk or get in touch with us about seasonal or touring caravan pitches, our facilities or holiday lodges.

Who we are

Steadings Holiday Park is a caravan park at 10 Ipswich Road, Newbourne, Suffolk IP12 4NS. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, please contact us at reception@steadingspark.co.uk or call 01473 736505.

Information we collect

When you contact us: if you use the contact form on our website, email or phone us, we collect the details you give us – your name, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry (for example about a pitch, availability, prices or a lodge viewing).

When you visit our website: with your consent, we use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last and roughly where visitors are located. This information is collected in a way that does not directly identify you.

For security: our website security software records basic technical information, such as IP addresses, to protect the site from spam and attacks. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to check that messages are sent by a person rather than an automated program.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and check pitch or lodge availability.
  • To arrange viewings and visits to the park.
  • To manage your pitch or lodge with us if you become a customer.
  • To keep our website secure and improve it, so visitors can find the information they need.

We will never sell your information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Our lawful basis

We use the details you send us because you have asked us to respond to your enquiry, or so that we can provide our services to you. We use website statistics only where you have agreed to analytics cookies, and we use security information because we have a legitimate interest in keeping our website safe.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work correctly. Analytics cookies, which help us measure how the site is used, are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings on our website, or block and delete cookies through your browser settings.

Our Contact Us page includes an embedded Google Map. Viewing the map may allow Google to set its own cookies, in line with Google’s privacy policy.

Who we share your information with

We only share information with trusted service providers who help us run our website and business – for example our website hosting provider, our email service, and Google (for website statistics, maps and spam protection). They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a pitch holder or lodge owner, we keep your details for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business and legal records. Website statistics are kept by Google in line with its standard retention settings.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use your information, or withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time. To make a request, please contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
